ARMA Chicago: “State of the Industry and Information Governance in O365”

April 18, 2018

Wednesday, April 18, 2018
11 a.m. to noon CDT

Is your organization (like so many others) planning to migrate to Microsoft Office 365 (O365) to meet its enterprise content management (ECM) needs? If this means a migration from shared drives, it’s probably the best opportunity you will ever have to implement effective information governance on your organization’s content.

Join Doculabs’ Rich Medina for his take on how to implement effective information governance in O365. Rich will begin with a discussion of recent developments in the current ECM vendor landscape, and the disruption that O365 brings to that market. From there, he will move on to talk about the growing importance of information security within the function of information management and the steps organizations should take to clean up content prior to migration to O365, giving an overview of how content analytics software tools help you weed out the redundant, obsolete, and trivial (ROT) content for disposition—before it gets moved over.

Rich’s presentation is on the Technical Track of the ARMA Chicago 2018 Spring Seminar, where Chicago-area Records and Information Management (RIM) and Information Governance professionals meet for a day of education, networking, and vendor exhibits.
