AHIMA Convention and Exhibit: “The IG Journey: The Path Out of Hell”
October 9, 2017 @ 10:15 am - 11:15 am
Monday, October 9, 2017
3:15 PM – 4:15 PDT
Information governance (IG) is increasingly recognized as a critical function across the health care industry. Health care providers at all levels have been working to put in place the structures, policies, procedures, processes, and controls capable of managing health information at an enterprise level, to ensure provision of quality health care, while also supporting regulatory requirements.
For many in the industry, the road to IG success can be a long one. Helping to pave the way is the objective of Matt McClelland’s presentation, “The IG Journey: The Path Out of Hell.”
For organizations now establishing IG programs, it’s important to define a set of standards and metrics for what constitutes success, and the steps to be taken to achieve that success. In this presentation, Matt will outline how you can define and achieve success in your own IG program, along with a framework that you can use to initiate projects within your organizations to move forward with the rollout of your program.
