2017 ARMA Houston Chapter Conference & Expo

April 24, 2017 - April 26, 2017

Date: April 25-26, 2017
Place: Norris Conference Center, Houston CityCentre

Joe Shepley, Doculabs’ Vice President and Practice Leader in Information Security, is speaking at the ARMA Houston Chapter Conference & Expo, as part of the conference’s Information Technology Track. His topic is:

“Information Management, Data Theft, and the Kill Chain: How Records Management and Information Security Can Partner to Reduce Risk”

Wednesday, April 26, from 8:30 am to 9:45 am.

Effective lifecycle management of information is becoming an increasingly critical component of the corporate Information Security function. And it’s important to know that not all threats to a company’s data security are external; data breaches can also come from bad actors within the organization.

You’ll learn about the concept of the “kill chain” as it applies to data breaches, and why information management is the weakest link. You’ll also learn why Records Management needs to be involved as part of the effort to protect against data theft and reduce a company’s exposure to these potential bad actors. Finally, you’ll also learn how to work in partnership with your Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to reduce your organization’s risk surface.
